Koda’s Canine Club - Dog Walking Terms & Conditions
Booking and General Conduct
1. Client Representation
By admitting their dog to Koda’s Canine Club, the client confirms that their dog:
- Is in good health and fully vaccinated (including kennel cough).
- Has not exhibited aggressive or harmful behavior towards people or other animals.
Any dog displaying dangerous or inappropriate behavior may be immediately withdrawn from our services. Koda’s Canine Club reserves the right to refuse service to any dog that does not meet our behavioral or health standards.
Additionally, it is the owner’s responsibility to ensure their dog wears legally required identification.
2. Aggressive Behavior
Koda’s Canine Club prioritizes safety. We do not accept dogs that display aggression or pose a safety risk.
The client is fully responsible for any costs incurred, including medical care or legal fees, if their dog bites or harms another animal or person.
Clients must inform us immediately of any behavioral changes that could affect safety.
3. Assessment and Refusal of Services
All dogs undergo an initial assessment before starting at Koda’s Canine Club.
We reserve the right to refuse service if a dog exhibits behavior or health conditions that could be disruptive or unsafe.
4. Dog Play and Supervision
Koda’s Canine Club provides a carefully supervised environment for group play.
While we take every precaution, minor injuries such as scratches, nicks, or play-related knocks can occur. We are not liable for any injuries sustained during supervised play, but we will take immediate action if needed.
Health and Veterinary Care
5. Veterinary Treatment & Medical Care
The client is responsible for any costs related to treating injuries or illnesses their dog may incur while under our care.
Koda’s Canine Club is authorized to seek veterinary care if deemed necessary. While we will always attempt to contact the emergency contact first, if they are unreachable, we will act in the best interest of the dog.
If emergency vet care is required, the client agrees to cover all associated costs.
6. Vaccination and Health Requirements
For the safety of all dogs, all dogs must be fully vaccinated, including against kennel cough.
Clients confirm their dog is up to date with vaccinations upon booking.
Dogs must not have had any contagious diseases within the last 30 days before attending Koda’s Canine Club.
7. Conjunctivitis & Other Contagious Conditions
Conjunctivitis (pink eye in dogs) is contagious and can spread among dogs in close contact.
If your dog has red eyes, green/yellow discharge, excessive blinking, or swelling, please inform us so we can assess the situation.
We may still take dogs out with mild conjunctivitis, depending on severity. We use warm salt water to help clean minor irritation, but if symptoms worsen, we advise seeking veterinary attention.
8. Kennel Cough and Other Health Risks
While kennel cough vaccination reduces risk, it does not eliminate it.
If your dog shows symptoms such as persistent coughing, hacking, or lethargy, you must notify us.
If we suspect a dog has kennel cough while in our care, we may adjust their participation in walks to prevent unnecessary exposure.
We are not liable if a dog contracts kennel cough but will take necessary precautions.
9. Bitches in Season
We can accommodate bitches in season, but the client must inform us in advance.
Participation depends on the group dynamics that day. While we take precautions, we are not responsible if a bitch becomes pregnant while in our care.
10. Larger Group Walks & Pack Support
Koda’s Canine Club now has the capacity to take larger group walks at certain locations. With two insured handlers, we may walk up to 12 dogs together in safe environments.
Our pack support team assists with:
- Managing larger groups safely.
- Assisting with pick-ups and drop-offs.
- Transporting dogs in a separately equipped van with cages provided by Koda’s Canine Club.
This setup ensures structured and well-supervised group walks, maintaining safety and control.
Transport and Property Access
11. Transportation & Pack Support Vehicles
Dogs may be transported in a Koda’s Canine Club vehicle for pick-ups, drop-offs, or emergencies.
Our pack support team also assists with transport in a separately equipped van.
We take all necessary precautions, but we cannot accept liability for accidents or injuries during transport.
12. House Keys & Property Access
If a client provides Koda’s Canine Club with a house key, they agree that we will not be held liable for any loss or damage to property or contents resulting from our possession of the key.
We will always exercise utmost care and respect when accessing properties.
Payments and Scheduling
13. Fees & Payments
Fees are discussed in advance during the meet-and-greet to ensure transparency.
Koda’s Canine Club operates Monday to Friday, with a £7 surcharge for weekend services.
Any additional services or special arrangements will be quoted individually.
14. Invoicing
Invoices are sent at the end of each week, unless otherwise arranged.
Clients are expected to pay promptly to maintain service continuity.
15. Governing Law
These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Scottish law.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
