Koda's Canine Club - Pet Sitting Terms & Conditions
1. Booking & Deposits
- A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to secure all pet sitting bookings.
- The remaining balance must be paid 48 hours before the booking starts.
- Bookings are only confirmed once payment has been received.
2. Service Area & Travel Fees
- Our standard service area covers Milton (near Invergordon) to Kildary, Golspie, Lairg, and
Ballintore.
- We can travel outside this area, but a travel fee may apply depending on location.
- There is no strict travel limit, but all extra travel costs will be confirmed during booking.
3. Pet Sitting & Care Responsibilities
- Pet sitting takes place in your home to keep pets comfortable in their familiar environment.
- We will follow all feeding, medication, and care instructions given at the meet & greet.
- Dogs will receive one standard walk per day unless the owner requests otherwise.
- Extra walks are available for £13 per walk.
- Adventure Days (extended outdoor enrichment) are available for £35 per dog.
- If your pet requires special care (e.g., raw feeding, complex medication schedules, or additional
handling requirements), let us know in advance-this may incur additional costs.
4. Multiple Pets
- The base pet sitting rate covers one dog.
- Additional dogs are £10 per extra dog per night.
- We can also care for other animals (cats, horses, small pets, etc.)-pricing will be discussed upon
booking.
5. Drop-In Visits
- Drop-in visits include feeding, toileting, companionship, and specific care needs.
- Visits start at £15 per visit, but the final cost depends on location and any additional requirements.
- Weekend or evening visits incur a £7 surcharge.
6. Overnight Stays
- Overnight care includes staying in your home overnight with at least one walk per day.
- The rate is £60 per night, with a discount to £54 per night for stays longer than 10 nights.- Overnight stays do not mean 24-hour supervision-sitters may leave for short periods for other
bookings.
7. Emergency Care & Veterinary Treatment
- If your pet becomes ill or injured, we will try to contact you immediately.
- If you are unreachable, we will act in your pet's best interest and take them to the nearest vet.
- Any vet costs are the owner's responsibility.
- Owners must provide emergency contact details and their preferred vet.
8. Behavioral & Safety Considerations
- Owners must disclose any history of aggression, anxiety, medical conditions, or behavioral issues.
- If a pet behaves in a way that requires extra care or intervention, an additional charge may apply.
- If a pet becomes unsafe or unmanageable, we may require alternative arrangements at the
owner's expense.
9. Cancellation & Refund Policy
- Cancellations more than 7 days before the booking receive a 50% refund (excluding deposit).
- Cancellations within 7 days are non-refundable.
- If a booking is cut short by the client, no refund will be given for unused days.
10. Liability & Responsibilities
- Koda's Canine Club will take all reasonable steps to ensure your pet's safety and well-being.
- However, we cannot be held responsible for unforeseen incidents such as illness, injury, or escape
due to factors beyond our control.
- Owners must ensure their home is secure for pet sitting.
- All pets must be fully vaccinated, free of contagious illnesses, and up to date on flea and worm
treatments before booking.
11. Key & Home Access Policy
- If key access is required, the owner must arrange a secure handover before the booking starts.
- For repeat clients, the sitter may retain a key with the owner's permission.
- Keys will be returned after the booking unless otherwise agreed.
- Koda's Canine Club is not responsible for any property loss or damage beyond reasonable use.
12. Extreme Weather Plan
- If severe weather (storms, extreme heat, heavy snow) makes it unsafe to walk dogs, alternative
arrangements will be made (e.g., shorter walks, indoor enrichment).
- We will always prioritize safety and well-being over routine.13. Client Agreement
By booking our pet sitting services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to
these Terms & Conditions. You confirm that all information provided about your pet(s) is accurate
and up to date.
